Rights Respecting School
We have achieved our Bronze certificate for our Rights Respecting School journey. We are now working towards achieving silver. To help with this, our job is to make sure that all pupils, staff, governors and families understand Children's rights.
All children in Key Stage Two have now been given a log in for Vocal Eyes. Here, the children can rate ideas by the school council for ways to improve our school. Our current priority is more school trips! Watch this space.
Please rate our ideas: https://www.vocaleyes.org/ using your hwb email and vocal eyes password. We would love to read your comments too! Remember: you have the right to be heard.
Comic Relief 2019
We understand that we have the right to a home, healthy food and clean water. However we know that not all children have this right. Therefore, school Council organised our fundraiser for Comic Relief - we sold red noses and wore red clothes. We raised £182.37. Thank you for your kind donations.
25th May - Dementia Fundraising Day
We would like all children and staff to wear blue clothes and bring £1 to raise money for people with dementia. We will also be holding a bake sale in the hall - please send cakes into school by 24th May (no nuts - please label all ingredients).
Children in Need
Thank you to our school council for organising Children in Need 2017. Your idea to have a Chocolate Raffle and Jelly Bean competition was great! As a school we raised £512, over £150 more than last year! Thank you to everyone who donated. The money raised will help children to have their rights, specifically the right to play and good health.
At the beginning of term, the following children were successfully voted by their peers to represent their class in school council with Miss Williams this year:
