Online Safety Advice

Are you worried about how to keep your children safe online? Worried about cyberbullying? Do you want to make sure your children's use of technology is safe, sensible and healthy?

 

Your responses to our recent parent IT survey suggested that you as parents would like more information about how to keep your children safe online. Below are a selection of resources linked to those we will be using in school.

Online Resources

  • NSPCC The NSPCC have lots of information and advice, some relevant for older children.
  • Parent Guide to 'Fortnite' Advice and information on use of the game Fortite, including how to start conversations with your child about their use of the game.
  • Safer Internet Centre This website offers advice and guidance on e-safety for parents, and has the option to translate into different languages.
  • Internet Matters Website Instructions on setting parental controls at home, screen time and guidance on age appropriate websites and apps.
  • Social Media use A government advice pack concerning use of social media by children.
  • Interland Game A game from Google that teaches children about internet safety
