Once upon a time there was a little bright child who went to Mount Stuart Primary School.

One morning in class she found some wires and batteries.

Who will help me make some circuits with these wires?” said the little bright child.

Not I. It looks much too difficult.

Not I. It sounds far too dangerous.

Not I. I can’t remember how!

Oh very well then, I’ll do it myself.

<puts wires together>

At playtime, the little bright child found some torches, but they didn’t switch on.

Who will help me get these lights working?” said the little bright child.

Not I. It looks much too difficult.

Not I. It sounds far too dangerous.

Not I. I can’t remember how!

Oh very well then, I’ll do it myself.

<switches on torches>

At lunchtime, the little bright child found a talk box, but it couldn’t speak.

Who will help me get this talk box to talk?” said the little bright child.

Not I. It looks much too difficult.

Not I. It sounds far too dangerous.

Not I. I can’t remember how!

Oh very well then, I’ll do it myself.

<makes talk box work>

At hometime, the little bright child found some boxes.

Who will help me put these boxes together?” said the little bright child.

Not I. It looks much too difficult.

Not I. It sounds far too dangerous.

Not I. I can’t remember how!

Oh very well then, I’ll do it myself.

<stacks boxes>

The next day, the little bright child came to school with her very own robot. Everyone was amazed and very excited.

Who wants to play with my new robot?” said the little bright child.

I will! It looks amazing!

I will! It is fantastic!

I will! It’s the best thing I have ever seen!

Oh no you won’t. None of you help me make the circuits, get the torches working, fix the talk box, put the boxes together. So only I am going to play with it.

And that is exactly what she did.
